Environmental Planning – Assisting Nature

Environmental planning is a multidisciplinary field, requiring an understanding of ecology, agronomy, biology, physics and mechanics. It involves the creation and application of models which can limit energy needs and optimaly exploit the natural resources available in the area under study. The aim of environmental planning is thus to contribute to the enhancement and sustainable evolution of ecosystems. Technically, this is achieved by assessing the existing environmental situation and developing a regeneration proposal which incorporates a forward-looking assessment of its likely evolution through time.

Our landscape practice is very active in the field of environmental planning, participating in programs for bioclimatic urban regeneration, designing green roofs, redesigning ecosystems and industrial parks and planning the rehabilitation of damaged landscapes such as quarries and landfill sites.
